Want to get the most out of your cavitation, radio frequency, vacuum therapy, or HIFU treatment? It all starts before your session even begins. Prepping your body properly can make a huge difference in how effective each treatment is—and how quickly you see results.
Why Preparation Matters
While body sculpting and skin tightening treatments are non-invasive, they still work in partnership with your body's natural systems. Preparing ahead of time helps improve circulation, boost lymphatic flow, and maximize energy delivery from the device to your fat cells or skin tissue.
Here’s what to do before your next session:
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the 24–48 hours leading up to your appointment. Well-hydrated tissue improves ultrasound conduction, supports lymphatic drainage, and helps your body flush out toxins and broken-down fat cells.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
These can dehydrate the body and constrict blood vessels, which may reduce the effectiveness of treatments. Try to skip them at least 24 hours before your session.
Eat a Light, Healthy Meal
A light meal—preferably low in sugar, fat, and salt—about 1–2 hours before your appointment helps stabilize your blood sugar and avoids bloating during body treatments.
Get Moving
Light exercise (like walking or stretching) before your session can help activate your circulation and lymphatic system. This primes your body for better detox and fat metabolism after treatment.
Avoid Heavy Lotions or Oils on the Skin
Skip applying heavy lotions, oils, or self-tanner before your appointment—especially if you're having RF or ultrasound-based treatments. Clean, dry skin allows for better energy transmission and reduces the risk of irritation.
Bonus Tip: Wear Comfortable Clothing
You might be lying down for a while or having multiple areas treated, so dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that won’t press on your skin afterward.
Think of your treatment like a workout for your body—what you do before and after makes a difference. Show up hydrated, nourished, and prepared, and your results will show up faster and last longer.
